The course is practical in nature and is designed to be participative and to provide candidates with practical skills and knowledge. This is a trainer led half day training course developed with contributions from the NSPCC, health professionals, police and trading standards.

What does the course cover?
The vulnerability of children and the forms of harm arising from under age drinking. The law on age restrictions relating to the sale of alcohol. The risks to businesses of selling alcohol to children The different methods of assessing and proving age. The importance of management support and training. Analytical tools for staff and managers to use in the workplace. Incorporates the opportunity to apply course skills in two case studies. Concludes with a 20 minute multiple choice examination.
